MechaTronix launches patented high bay coolers up to 35,000 lumen
While LED manufacturers are bringing more and more high power COBs to the market like Lumileds COB 1216, Citizen’s CLU550, Cree’s CXB3590 and Bridgelux’s Vero 29, MechaTronix announces their new CoolBay® high bay cooler program. The CoolBay® is a passive round cooler based on the patented CoolTube® quadruple closed-loop heat pipe structure, which makes it the most compact design on the market cooling down up to 35.000 lumen.

MechaTronix expands LED high bay cooler program
Many tier A LED brands like Cree, Citizen and Tridonic have recently boosted their offerings in COB LED packages with new models performing lumen outputs from 10.000 all the way up to 20.000 lumen. As ECO partner of most A LED brands MechaTronix took up the glove to develop a range of high power passive LED coolers.

MechaTronix launches advanced LED pin fin coolers for tilted spot lights
With the advantage of pin fin LED coolers under tilted position, MechaTronix announces 2 more diameters as standard available. This second generation pin fin coolers is developed for an optimized free air convection under tilted positions of spot and track lights over 45 degrees. Typically under heavy inclined positioning LED coolers need a far more open structure at the side to prevent obstruction of hot raising air.

MechaTronix launches 5.000lm LED cooling in just 20mm height
With the current lumen boost of many tier 1 LED manufacturers, the demand raised exponentially for ultra-low profile LED coolers for use in height restricted down light applications.
Although the increase in lumen per watt and internal efficacy of recent led COB modules has made the use of passive LED cooling much more likely, most standard LED coolers in the market aimed for classic designs where the cooling surface was created by a smaller diameter with a bigger height.

MechaTronix launches universal LED cooler for BJB LED module
The BJB LED star cooler GH36d is specifically designed for luminaires using the BJB GH36d series LED modules and various brands of COB LED modules mounted by BJB Zhaga Book 3 or Zhaga Book 11 LED holders.
The compact module GH36d consists of a based and encapsulated LED lamp with suitable Twist&Lock lamp holder. The pre-tensioned leaf springs which are fixed with two standard screws, ensure a defined contact pressure of the light source to the heat sink and thereby a constant heat dissipation.

MechaTronix announces first standard LED cooler for high bay lights
Since most LED package manufacturers have launched recently COB LED modules with output lumens far exceeding the levels needed for spot and down light applications, now also the need for standard high bay LED coolers became a fact.
As a reaction MechaTronix announces its first standard high bay cooling platform with the ModuLED Mega passive LED cooler. In a diameter of 134mm, a height of 100mm and a weight of 1.5kg, this passive LED cooler keeps luminaires up to 10.000 lumen on the required case and junction temperature. With a thermal resistance Rth of just 0.6 K/W the ModuLED Mega 134100-HBG can cool down 80 watts dissipated power or the equivalent of 115 watts electrical power.

MechaTronix cooperation with Seoul Semiconductor for LED cooling
MechaTronix, with its headquarter in Kaohsiung Taiwan, and Seoul Semiconductor, the world’s fourth biggest manufacturer of LED components, have drafted a cooperation on the design, production and worldwide distribution of standard LED coolers. Seoul’s new ZC series Chip-on-board (COB) LED arrays deliver a system level performance of 700 lumens to over 6,000 lumens. MechaTronix has developed a wide range of standard pin fin and star shaped passive LED coolers which thermally and mechanically match with all variations of Seoul’s ZC COB’s. In this way mechanical afterwork like drilling mounting holes can be avoided, and lighting designers get a perfect idea of the junction and case temperature they will acquire in their luminaire design.

Standard led coolers gain traction – MechaTronix enters eco partnership with Osram
While LED COB modules are more and more seen as a commodity product, also the related accessories around enter the same era. The importance of easy off-the-shelf availability, proven quality and validated technical ability grows every day for lighting parts like reflectors and lenses, led drivers and LED coolers.
Osram Opto Semiconductors launched recently the Soleriq P and Soleriq S chip-on-board LED modules, while Osram Lighting announced the 4th generation of the PrevaLED Core. MechaTronix, based in Kaohsiung Taiwan and specialized in the development and manufacturing of passive LED cooling, has entered an eco-partnership with both tier one LED manufacturers to make a broad range of standard LED coolers available.

MechaTronix develops passive cooler for replacement of active LED cooling
Just a few years ago it was hardly impossible to develop a down or spot light with light output over 3000 lumen without using an active fan or blower LED cooler. Today with the latest generation LED modules and COBs the efficacies and internal thermal resistances have dramatically improved what makes that even a 4500 lumen shop light can easily be kept on its ideal temperature with a well-designed passive LED cooler.
