Although a lot of designers are no big believers in active fan cooling (and with good reasons), it still has its place in the market. There were space is a restriction, or the temperature leverages are so stringent that a passive solution can’t work, a well-designed active cooled LED cooler can deliver the outcome – look for example into the retrofitting of stage lighting, high power design in sauna’s where the ambient temperature is already 85°C, or LED lighting in industrial ovens… just to name a few examples. But of course, when you go active with a fan, make sure the fan has an undisputable quality and life time.
